About SSREF
The Sonoran Spine Research and Education Foundation (SSREF) is an independent, non-profit organization. We support public awareness programs and advocacy groups for spinal disorders. We also conduct and support spine research activities. Projects of interest include pediatric and adult scoliosis, kyphosis, spine trauma, osteoporosis, spondylolisthesis, degenerative disk disease and work related back injuries.
Physician Education
The Sonoran Spine Center offers visiting spine surgeons the opportunity to observe surgeries from our ongoing case load, choosing which techniques they would like to see. We also offer observation opportunities to visiting medical students and residents to participate in clinical observation, observation in surgery, and participation in clinical research on diseases of the spine.
Fellowship Program
Our spine surgery fellowship match offers the opportunity for tertiary spinal deformity and spinal reconstructive surgery training for physicians who have completed a full residency in either orthopedic surgery or neuro surgery.
